How To Use Instagram for Social Media Marketing

Are you a business owner? Do you have a website or a blog? If you answered “yes” then my next question is: are you on Instagram? If not, I suggest signing up! I am going to explain how to use Instagram for Social media marketing and why it is important for brand awareness.

You may not get link juice for using Instagram, however I find this tool to be useful for listening. When you sign up you are able to enter your website, do it. Create a username with your brand name…. and just start listening. How to do that you ask? In the search section of Instagram you can either search for users or for tags. In the ‘tags’ section type in the words that interest you. For example, if I am a proxy service which helps people access Facebook in China, my search words will have ‘China’ in them. I will then see all of the people who have posted photos with the hashtag #China and I will go ahead and start listening by liking their photos. Don’t go crazy all at once.
